Built in 1986, our B&B was built to have the feel of a 1930’s vintage home while having all of the qualities of a new structure. The site was once the home of Dr. Irwin & Mrs. Sunshine Pope, the son of one of Tyler’s first physicians and the daughter of the Circuit Riding Judge. The site was chosen because of the beautiful, spacious grounds, as well as its convenience to the city’s attractions.

All Rooms include a Queen Bed, Private Bathroom, Internet, TV, Closet, Hangers, Parking, Breakfast, Cookies and assorted Beverages and “Bob the Butler” who will accommodate you with any Amenities you may have forgotten at home. The Dining Room has a selection of Menus from our favorite restaurants too!
Don’t forget about the Barn Style Game Room with Pool Table, Darts, Hammocks, and more! An Outdoor Hot Tub, a New Orleans-style Courtyard complete with Fountain and Outdoor Fireplace, and also an “Adult’s Treehouse” and Courts for Horseshoes, Bocce, Croquet, Badminton and Volleyball.
The Sherlock Cottage features a Queen Bed, Private Bathroom, Kitchen with a full size Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Ironing Board, Iron, Washer/Dryer Facilities, Living Room and Dining Room. Internet, Cable, Parking and Housekeeping are also included!

We’re located on a safe and quiet street in the historic district just a few minutes South of Downtown Tyler, 1 mile from UT Tyler Health and 1.5 miles from East Texas Medical Center and have hosted many Travel Nurses, Interns, Doctors, Lawyers, Shut down crews and people in Housing Transitions. The Owner owns the Rosevine Inn Bed & Breakfast and is a long-time licensed Real Estate Broker in the City of Tyler. Powell Properties Real Estate is also located on the Rosevine Inn Property which helps people find more permanent housing solutions.
The Suites and Rooms are found in 1930s cottages, which have been restored with all the comforts of a modern home and still maintain the vintage charm of their era. All of them are furnished with period antiques and themed according to the famous – and infamous – personalities of the 1930s.
All of our Suites and Cottages have a Queen Bed, Private Bath, Desk, Closet and Drawers. Our most Economical Suites (Casablanca, Will Rogers, Churchill) have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot and our most Luxurious Suites (Lindbergh, Bonnie & Clyde, Roosevelt) have full kitchens and living rooms.
Amenities, Pricing, and Regulation
For all stays 30 days or more, we require a $500 security deposit which secures your stay. This is Non-Refundable BEFORE check-in but AFTER check-out, we will refund it in the form of a check as long as there are no damages or major cleaning needed to the room.
- In Tyler, Texas, Hotel Tax is exempt for 30+ consecutive days so monthly rent is all inclusive and includes all Utilities, Wifi, Cable, Parking, Laundry and Housekeeping once a week.
- We do not allow Pets or Smoking.
- The Property also features a Barn Style Game Room with a Pool table, Darts, Hammocks, an Outdoor Hot Tub, an “Adult’s Treehouse” and Courts for Horseshoes, Bocce, Croquet, Badminton and Volleyball
